At Reed Health we are in regular dialogue with NHS, community and private hospitals looking to match their staffing needs with our candidates' requirements. Contact one of our pharmacy consultants to discuss your requirements.
Hospitals also rely heavily on pharmacy technicians. To qualify as a pharmacy technician you need an NVQ level 3 in pharmacy services. The training involves both practical experience and study at a college or by open learning. It usually takes about two years to complete. Pharmacy technician's grades run from MTO 1 to 4, with the majority of posts we deal with being for grades 1 to 2. Reed Health recruits for both temporary and permanent positions.
Retail Pharmacists
Independent, small and major chains alike approach Reed Health regulary for help with their staffing requirements. Most people working in this sector through an agency as a locum do so on a self-employed basis. Reed Health makes the necessary arrangements with the client and then charges the client an administration fee for the locums period.
To practice in the UK pharmacists must be registered with The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB). Overseas candidates will need a pre-registration period in the UK before practicing. Reed Health Group consultants can help you find pre-registration posts. Qualified pharmacists grades run from A to E, with the majority of vacancies being grades B or C although others are often available.
